CMAS 1 STAR DIVING TRAINING
Dear guests, the first step of stepping into the underwater world professionally, the cmas 1 star
diving training, which is the first step, is explained in detail below. We think that when you read our
information letter carefully, it will provide you with a wide range of information in general. Hoping
to see you in deep blues, stay in the blue, stay with us….
We start our 1st Cmas 1 star diving training by first filling out a general form. So what’s in this form?
First of all, there is a health general questionnaire that includes questions that you can answer yes or
no about whether you are healthy or not. In the next stages, we fill out the questionnaires stating
that you accept the general information and contact information about you, the trainer and the rules
of our company, and the rules of the Turkish sports federation, to which we are affiliated, stating
that you undertake the risks and responsibilities.
2. As the second step, we give you the books and documents that you will use during the training,
after giving brief information on how to provide a training.
3. CMAS 1 star training, TSSF (Turkish Underwater Sports Federation) rules apply.
1 Star Diver Training Program
TSSF One star diver training program is gathered under the headings of theoretical and practical
training. Theoretical trainings aim the diver to gain theoretical knowledge about diving, and practical
trainings aim to transfer this knowledge to practical applications. Theoretical training consists of 12
courses and an additional course left to the preference of the trainer.
– Communication signals to be used underwater during your diving trainings in your practical
underwater work,

– water entry techniques,
– underwater descent techniques,
– what to pay attention to while breathing,
– how to use your buoyancy stabilization equipment,
– how to take the regulator that allows you to breathe out of your mouth and get it again,
– how you can share your weather with your friend,
– how to empty your mask when water gets into it and how to take it off and put it on underwater,
– how to use your palette more accurately,
– how to remove and re-arm your self-contained scuba gear and weight belt underwater and above
water,
– In addition to basic first aid and rescue skills and what to watch out for in the diving boat, extensive
work will be done on taking care of the environment and yourself underwater.
– Practical underwater skills will be taught to you through shallow water exercises and a total of 5
sea dives.
Health Conditions That Disable Diving
As in many sportive activities, some health prerequisites must be met in order to perform
underwater activities. Although one of the prerequisites for being a diver is to fill in the health declaration form and to obtain a medical report, which will be given by a doctor when necessary, we
as divers should be aware of the discomforts related to diving and be able to take the necessary
precautions.
Examples of conditions that may require medical check-ups and/or prevent diving are heart attacks,
heart diseases, uncontrollable high blood pressure, epilepsy, asthma and other lung diseases, ear and
sinus diseases, pregnancy, diabetes, and panic attacks. In addition to these, being under a drug
treatment with side effects and being treated for drugs or alcoholism in the last five years are among
the diseases that can prevent diving. It should not be thought that these and similar disturbances
will definitely prevent diving. It should be the specialist doctor who will make the final decision for
the diver candidates who have this type of ailment.
Document Adequacy
The diver, who is entitled to receive a star diver identity upon successful completion of the training,
is informed about the theoretical issues related to diving, can properly equip and remove all of his
diving equipment, use them correctly underwater, and undertake open sea dives with at least three
star divers or a diving instructor. The ready TSSF / CMAS becomes a Star Diver. The diving depth limit
of a star diver is 18 meters. He can’t dive at night.
